What is the fat transfer?
A fat transfer is the process of harvesting fat from one part of the body and transferring it to another part of the body that may need volume enhancement and stem cell rejuvenation.
Am I a candidate for fat transfer?
- Do you feel that your breasts need a little fullness, but you don’t want an implant?
- Do you think that your hips and waist aren’t balanced?
- Do you want to have a more hourglass figure?
- Your buttocks is rather flat and you would like more projection or fullness?
- Your face is beginning to sag or deflate, and you don’t want a facelift?
- Is there an area on your body that you feel is disproportionate and would like more fullness or smoothness?
What are the results?
Expect balance! Fat transfer is meant to correct tissue loss and balance and contour the body or face.
What can I expect?
Expect more fullness in areas that appear to be depressed or unbalanced. Expect overcorrection at first to compensate for fat reabsorption. Liposuction must occur in order to “fat transfer”. How much fat and stem cells depends on the area requiring fullness, balance, or enhancement. Because the fat taken is your own, it is the safest form of volume enhancement.
What are my options?
Fat can be transferred to the Buttocks, Breasts, Lips, Cheeks, Chin, Jaw, the under-eye area, and other regions that can be enhanced. Implants can be another viable option for fullness. Breast and Buttock implants are the most common implant choices when there is not enough fat to harvest. Smaller areas of enhancement, such as the face, may benefit from injectable fillers.
