What is hair restoration?
Hair restoration involves a variety of procedures and/or treatments that increase lost hair volume. They range from PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) treatments, stem cell injections, hair transplantation, scalp reduction, tissue expansion, flap surgery, oral medication, and topical treatments.
Am I a candidate for a hair restoration?
You may be considered a good candidate if your answer is yes to any of the following questions:
- Are you losing your hair?
- Are you losing body, volume, and thickness to your hair?
- Do you have a receding hairline?
- Do you have some bald spots?
- Do you suffer from trichotillomania?
What are the results?
Results vary based on the procedure or treatment you choose. Many patients choose more than one in the hopes of gaining maximum results. Every patient is different. Options and expected outcomes will be discussed during consultation.

What is PRP?
PRP is a non-surgical, three-step medical treatment for hair loss. Blood is drawn, processed, and then injected into the scalp. The plasma from the blood is separated from red blood cells during the processing stage. The plasma is injected into the scalp, increasing the blood supply to hair follicles, thus naturally triggering hair growth.
What is Hair Transplantation?
Hair Transplantation involves the excision of hair follicles from the lower back of the scalp and transplanting them into the desired problem area.
What is a scalp reduction? Tissue Expanders?
A scalp reduction is a surgical procedure that reduces the bald area of the scalp by excising the skin and bringing the edges of hair together. This can help eliminate the need for hair transplantation in that area. If the bald area is too great, and the is too much tension on the scalp, tissue expanders are an option. This will be determined at the time of consultation.
